This 6'-0" diameter occupiable mirror ball was designed and constructed for Levy Dance's Rush V1: Immersive Club Experience, a modern dance production held at Gray Area in San Francisco on June 7th, 2019. Clad in laser cut mirror acrylic panels, the giant disco ball was transparent when lit from the inside with custom programmed LEDs, and reflective when lit with exterior ambient lighting. The tube steel frame, tested up to 1700 lbs, was hung from rigging that allowed it to spin throughout the performance.
